Abigail (aged two and a half).

Like most kids Abigail makes up words and sayings of her own. Here is a list of some of them.

Dat age 13 months

This was Abigail’s way of saying ‘I want that’. She would repeat it over and over until you gave her what she wanted.

Booshuwa! age 18 months

Not sure where this one came from, she just started shouting it one day. And because it made everyone laugh, she just kept on saying it.

You’ll be dead for hours age 2 years 3 months

Playing with her brother involves a lot of ‘gun’ games and shooting. Happily her understanding of death is still very much at the level of a two year old.

Much more beautifuller age 2 years 7 months

Whilst looking through her jewelry box one day, Abigail picked up a bracelet and said “This will make me much more beautifuller”.

Magumdam age 2 years

Abigail sometimes uses this word for the TV remote. We have no idea why.

Ebracadebra age 2 years 8 months

Instead of abracadabra when Abby performs a magic trick she shouts “Ebracadebra!”.

Quicklierist and Quickerer age 2 years 8 months

Abby was taking off her shoes and said “These are my quickerer shoes and now I can run around with my quicklierist two feet”.

Scareded age 2 years 9 months

Whilst standing on her chair to look out the window, Abby jumped up and said “I jumped up and noded my head and scareded that bird away!”.

Pinkaboo! age 2 years 10 months

When Abby plays peekaboo, she says pinkaboo! instead.

Crickles age 2 years 10 months

Abby and I were on a walk when she saw a thistle in the verge by the road. She said “Daddy that plant has lots of crickles on it and they hurt you if you touch them”.

Breakfgast age 3 years 1 months

Abby’s version of breakfast.

Damnbanna age 3 years 4 months

Abby was dressing up as a pirate for a fancy dress party. Part of the outfit was a bandanna.
