New ‘Wee Beasties’ In Loch Munro

Picture of John and ReubenDespite the grand name Loch Munro is just a big pond in one of the fields in Lakin farm. This fact does not deter Ruth’s dad from claiming ownership of a Scottish loch.

To be fair it is quite a nice mini lake and John has done a good job in making it. As more wildlife gets established in and around the loch it will become a great feature of the farm.

Picture of ReubenToday ‘the lads’ John, Reuben, Shaun, and John-Luke went on a trip to find pondlife to introduce loch Munro.

Shaun has lived on Arran since he was nine, and has a great knowledge of the local area and wildlife and they soon came back with buckets full of stuff.

Picture of Reuben with some tiny frogsThis last picture shows just how wee the things they collected were. We could identify two little frogs in this picture, but were not sure about the green slug thing in between.
