All Systems Go (nearly)
At 12:45 today Ruth’s waters broke. After a sandwich, shower, and packing of bags, we set off to the hospital.
We sat around and chatted for a while, but no further action took place. No contractions have started yet (4:35), but the tightenings are getting tighter.
If the baby doesn’t appear in the next 24 hours, the midwife explained we will have to go to the mainland.
We have no baby carrier, no baby clothes, and up until a couple of hours ago we had no nappies.
This baby is three weeks early and obviously keen to get out. Taken us by surprise that’s for sure.
