Lakin Farm

This is a picture of the scaffold tower I put up today (with some help from Reuben). It was one of the least enjoyable things I have done lately. Poking my eye with a sharp stick would have been preferable.

We have put some ‘proper’ scaffolding on the other side of the house, which was an easy job. The stuff we built today was as wobbly as a wobbly thing that wobbles, hence it’s nickname ‘jelly’ scaffold.

I needed the scaffold to get to the outer side of the chimney stack, to remove the render and repair a crack.

In other news today, John Luke went back to school (why do schools insist on starting new terms in the middle of the week? What’s wrong with Mondays?).

This picture paints a false picture of John Luke’s mood, he was actually full of beans and very excited about going back to school.

Not two seconds after I took this picture, JL was running around pretending to be a droid from Star Wars.
