Stage 1 Almost Complete
A break in the weather and some very hard work, has resulted in the near completion of the re felting of the farmhouse roof.
All we need now is for the slaters to get back from their jollydays, and finish the job off by adding the all important slates.
This will be a giant leap forward, and is only two months behind schedule!
The guy from whom we ‘borrowed’ the scaffolding has started to grumble about money and is threatening to move ‘his’ scaffolding to another job. I say ‘his’ scaffolding because we have found out that half of it has been ‘borrowed’ from other sites, but don’t tell anyone I said so.
Anyhow, with a fair wind and good fortune we should be in by Christmas, New Year or Easter.
