John Luke and his friends do a lot of exploring around the farm.
On there last outing John Luke found a mean looking rusty old grappling hook type thing (with four sharp barbed spikes).
This picture shows John Luke pretending to smash the hook into an imaginary enemy.
Too much TV and Playstation if you ask me.

Weekend Break

Last weekend we escaped from the island and spent a few days in lovely Edinburgh. We had good weather, good food, and stayed in a very nice hotel.

Digging Our New Vegetable Beds

For the last two days we have been making our new vegetable beds.
We decided the beds should be raised so they are easier to work. Luckily we had plenty of old floorboards from the farmhouse to use.

We’re Getting A Shed

As part of our drive to live the ‘good life’ we have ordered a new shed.
I have built a hard base for the shed, which took about 5 tons of hardcore and concrete.
Ruth is planning to grow a wide variety of vegetables and stuff, so we should be buying a lot less from the supermarket [...]
